WHY I LOVE WEDDINGS

Okay, story time! I was a pandemic bride - my husband and I had our perfect wedding all planned out for May 2020. As you can probably guess, it didn't happen according to plan. Our 60 guest traditional wedding evolved into a 6 guest elopement on my mum's porch. And to tell you the truth, it was absolutely perfect. I married my best friend, so nothing else mattered.

What I learned from the experience is that every single wedding has its own story. It's way more than just a day. It's months of dates, nights of uncertainty, shoeboxes full of keepsakes, coffee in bed, and 2AM deep conversations. It's a journey that is messy, full of highs and lows, and flies by so quickly. That's why I make it my mission to record and capture every fleeting moment.

Regardless of who you are, how you met, age, creed - I want to be the person capturing your story, because you deserve beautiful images of the happiest day of your life.

What does Boutique Wedding Photography Mean?

Did you know that on average a photographer covers 40-50 weddings annually? That's roughly a wedding every week, which doesn't leave much time to truly focus on the significance of your day, especially when considering other photography commitments.

As a Boutique Wedding Photographer, I intentionally limit myself to a maximum of 20 weddings per year. This means that I have the time to meet you, get to know you, be rested and refreshed for your day, bring my best self to your wedding, and be excited during the editing process. In short - I never become jaded.

How would you describe your style?

I love intimate candid shots. I prefer shooting on a long lens which allows me to get those small details without being in your face. That said, nothing beats an establishing shot. Generally I deliver a nice mix of close crops and wide shots.

My editing style is bold, timeless, and true to life. I can bounce between a light and airy style to dark and moody - it depends on the shoot. Ultimately, I choose to edit in the way that best represents the feeling of the day.

Do you get to know us first?

Absolutely! As your dedicated photographer, I'll be right there with you throughout your special day. It’s crucial for me to get to know you both, not just as the bride and groom, but as individuals. I love chatting and sharing light-hearted moments because your wedding day is all about joy and celebration. And, honestly, it’s not unusual for me to get a bit emotional during those heartfelt “I dos.”

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

My husband no longer asks me how a wedding went, he just asks how late I'll be staying up editing (spoiler; way too late).

I say in my contract to give me 4-6 weeks to perfect your gallery. But it's not unheard of for me to deliver much quicker than that.

Once you're happy, I sent an invoice and contract for you to check over. Please note that a 30% non-refundable booking fee applies to all weddings.
