Your wedding is one of those days that still makes me smile when I think about it.


What started as a tiny, midday plan in a little café somehow grew into a full-blown celebration overlooking Table Bay—and honestly, it felt exactly right. Big, beautiful, and full of life. Just like the two of you.


Mariska, that green wedding dress? Unreal. Bold, sharp, and completely unforgettable. You both looked incredible together—so confident, so comfortable, so clearly a team. No trying too hard. Just you.


Getting ready at Castellon Boutique Hotel set such a lovely tone—relaxed, excited, and full of laughs. Then we headed to Milnerton Golf Course, where Cape Town decided to absolutely show off… and also try to blow us away. The wind was next level. The kind of wind that becomes part of the story (I’m pretty sure it cancelled a major marathon the next day).


And through all of it, you just rolled with it. Laughing, adapting, holding onto each other and carrying on like absolute pros.


One of the most special things about your day was seeing people come from all over the world to celebrate you. It said everything about the kind of love you share and the space you create for others. Add in your shared sense of humour, and the whole day felt warm, welcoming, and very you.


Mariska & Izan, thank you for trusting me with your memories and for letting me be part of such a joyful, windswept, love-filled day. I loved every second.
