Events are about people coming together — sometimes planned to the minute, sometimes completely improvised. I photograph them as they unfold, paying attention to people, atmosphere, and the moments that happen in between.

WHAT I FOCUS ON
People, Not just the program

Speakers, schedules, and formal moments matter — but the real texture of an event lives in how people interact around them. I pay attention to conversations, reactions, and the moments that happen when no one thinks they’re being watched.

Atmosphere and context

An event isn’t just what happened, it’s how it felt to be there. I photograph the environment, the energy in the room, and the details that give context, so the images make sense long after the day is over.

Moments between moments

Some of the strongest images happen in the gaps — before things begin, just after they end, or while attention is elsewhere. Staying alert and unobtrusive allows those moments to surface naturally.

What will matter later

Not every image needs to shout. I’m always thinking about what will still be relevant when you look back — images that document, clarify, and quietly hold the story of the event as it actually unfolded.
