RETOUCHING FOR CHEF SUPPLY CO
Over the past few years, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Adam from Chef Supply Co., helping bring his vision to life through retouching and graphic design. What started as a few projects quickly evolved into one of those collaborations that feels more like creative alchemy than just a service.
Adam’s knives aren’t just tools—they’re works of art. Most are handcrafted from Damascus steel, with intricate, beautifully designed handles that demand to be shown off in their full glory. My job? To make sure every texture, ripple, and reflection is captured faithfully and flawlessly.
Some of these products I was lucky enough to photograph in person, and the attention to detail in their craftsmanship made my job both challenging and incredibly rewarding. Every knife needed to be presented true to life, yet elevated just enough to shine in both e-commerce and editorial settings.
On the graphic design side, we got playful—with composites and ad layouts designed specifically for Chef Supply Co’s social media. From building visual campaigns around product launches to creating attention-grabbing posts for Instagram, it was all about balancing style with storytelling. Bold, sharp, and memorable—just like the knives themselves.
