Bringing Magic to Life with Tlou Pride Photography


Working with Tlou Pride Photography—the brilliant, award-winning studio run by the insanely talented Thato—has been one of the most creatively fulfilling experiences in my editing journey. Her work in maternity and newborn photography is nothing short of enchanting—equal parts dreamy, whimsical, and deeply emotional.


Thato has a way of turning real-life moments into pure fantasy. Her shoots are full of heart and imagination, and as a retoucher, I get the privilege of helping her visions come to life. My role is to take her already stunning images and gently elevate them—adding a touch of magic without losing the realness at the core of every photo.


What I love most about Tlou Pride’s work is how each image tells a story. Whether it’s a glowing mama-to-be standing in a world of soft light and pastel clouds, or a tiny newborn wrapped in wonder, every photo feels like a fairytale—just grounded enough in reality to make it feel possible.
